I signed a 4 month contract with Gary Cassel of Lansdale, pa. He took one picture of my house when there was still snow on the gorund. he then put that picture in real estate book with other homes he represented. All the other pics were of nice spring green lawns. Mine looked like it had been on the markjet for ages because of the snow. In addition, others were described as colonial, spacious, charming. Mine was listed as "solid brick" i told him he had to change both the pic and the wording. It took him 3 weeks to bother to come take a new pic. Finally that was in the book but he never changed the wording. he only showed the home one time himself during the 4 months and in fact the agenst who came with potential buyers had me showing the home "because you know it". He was never there for any of the other showings.
I thought my word was my bond and I had to wait out the four months which took me almost to the end of the decent market. Everyday i would get up thinking only (so many more months, weeks, days) before i can be finished with this contract. If he didn;t want the house why bother to accept the listing?
