Marites “Tess” Nankani was the seller’s agent and we put an offer on a short sale she was working on. After accepting our offer the bank did a BPO and asked us to raise our offer. Since the price was close to our offer we increased the offer waiting for a final contract from the bank. Several months later and over five months from start we finally gave up. We walked away when she advised my agent that she had forwarded a higher offer to the bank and asked us if we wanted to raise our offer. She did not inform us of this higher offer prior to sending it to the bank and the bank had made no decision of our pending offer. I'm not sure why she would forward another offer to the bank without a final decision on a deal you had been working on for over five months with no indication from the bank that it was inadequate? A higher commission? Our experience was that she was unprofessional, unresponsive, and difficult to contact. My opinion is that she was at best borderline unethical. |
