Do not deal with this agent. If you have had the unfortunate luck of already renting from her make sure you have all documents in order. She will act like a wonderful caring person but do not let that fool you. Come move out time she will itemize everything to keep your entire deposit and charge you for additional repairs that she should have made to her property while you were occupying it. She will not follow up or repair anything while you are a tenant. Do not make any repairs yourself. Take lots of pictures keep all emails you will need them. Familiarize yourself with VRTLA which is your rights. Also know that if she does not make a repair you can go to the courts and have your rent put in escrow until the work is done. If it is serious you can contact your building inspection office and have someone come out. If the residence is deemed unsafe she will have to provide you with an alternate place to live until it is brought up to code.
Gayle B. Short. I was working with her on a rental property. We talked about issues regarding the rental property before I gave her the app and app fee. I wanted to make sure that the issues "pets" and "when I could move in" would not cause any problems or deny us of the rental. She told me that it would be okay, that there wasnt a problem. I gave her the app and Money. After not hearing a call for 2 weeks, I call her. She tells me that she picked someone that did not have pets and that could move in immediately. So basically in a sense I got denied the rental property because of the same issues that were said to be okay before I even gave her the application and money. I do not recomend her to anyone. It seems, in my opinion ... That she looks after herself and not her clients. She could of at least called or discussed these things with us. Its sad that I had to call her before she called me to find this out.
