We were first time home buyers and we selected Ms Charbonneau as our agent. Not only are we pleased with her services, we are still very grateful for all of her advice, knowledge on a multitude of issues, and her guidance throughout our first home-buying experience. Needless to say, we were often confused and/or didn't completely understand a situation. Ms Charbonneau was always patient with us and could always help us with our questions. Karen also has a go-getter attitude - she was always a step ahead and preparing us for what came next. We couldn't be happier with her services. We'll be recommending her to our local friends.
Karen listed my house for six months and only managed to get one bid from a buyer who had her job for less than a week and could not get financing. Karen apparently knew about the job situation, but did not tell us since she determined it was none of our business what the woman thought she could afford. I spent over a month with my house off the market until finally all banks rejected this woman for financing. Karen then could not get a single bid for the remaining four months she listed. During this time she 'lost' emails, did not call buyers back after a viewing, and basically ignored my house. When I confronted her about it she said she did not have time to pay attention to each of her clients every week. After switching agents (to one who did pay attention to my house and call buyers back), I started getting bids withing 30 days and closed less than 90 days later.
